A very fine watercolour with fine line drawn outlines, possibly 18th Century or early 19th Century. Unsigned.
We find this a very interesting work as well as lovely to behold. The fluid strokes and sepia colours of this piece are very reminiscent of 18th Century works, particularly of Chinese influence as can be seen in the fishing figures in the foreground. This work itself is a very good size, well mounted and displays superbly.
Annotated on the back in handwriting is the description ‘Killin Perthshire’.
